"paleface adios"

Paleface Adios was a great pacer from 1972 to 1981. He retired at the age of 11 yrs. He won 108 races, including The Miricle mile, in which he he was also placed 5 times, and twice the Lord Mayors cup. He was owed by Shirley Pike from Temora NSW, and was driven by her husband, Colin pike.  Pale face Adios was a people's champion, and when he retired the town of Temora turned out to celebrate his golden career.  Paleface Adios died at the age of 17 in 1991 from a suspected snakebite. Kerry Hodge wrote a song about him in 1977, and sang it live on pay television in 1999. Here are some blogs about 'The Hodge family Singers' and Kerry Hodge so please keep reading.

Hi just not so good with writing skills, Only do it well when I write songs  which I love to do.
I was born down at leeton NSW in the Riverina. I am from a family of twelve siblings. Six of them did not make it past the age on nine.
Six survived. The six of us who survived started to sing at an early age.
We performed as "The Hodge Family Singers". Back then, there was (Tex Hodge) my father, now deceased,  Millie, my mother 74 and still singing to raise money for childrens hospitals.
Barbara still performing ,"Marissa "still performing "Lorena "still performing "Shane" in Geelong VIC and is into acting and Tracey who sings. We have won many top awards including "Tamworth" and Nashville Tennesee.  I recorded my first record in 1977 when I was young, and sang the song live later on pay television.  The song was written about the great pacer "Paleface Adios" hence the same name.  I then travelled around NSW and Victoria performing live in hotels & clubs.  between 1996 and 2000 I hosted a radio show on Fm107.5 Orange NSW playing country music and rock n roll drive time.  I interviewed many artists including Tanya Kernaghan,  Lee kernaghan,  Gena Geoffries and many more artists during this time.  Other announcers played my cd as well and it was a number one hit on the air for 10 weeks. I have sung at weddings, party's etc. I am still singing and I still make cd's and at the moment I am doing a balancing guitar act.  I play guitar and balance another one on my forehead. I also balance a pushbike on my head and play the guitar. It makes me money and I have had photo's put in every major newspaper around the world by Associated press.  I do a performance outside of  the Sir John Young Hotel across from the Three wise monkeys on the corner of George and Liverpool Streets when I want to make extra money.  If you see me there, say hi, I love to chat. I still perform in pubs and clubs and my best mate Bill Hunter on the right of my pic" the great old man of acting is helping me sometimes with management and is trying to get me on some television spots and acting roles. I also have a good friend by the name on Bill L (top  picture on page) who is supporting me as a friend and helping finance my career . If you want to hear me sing go to my website: www.artsconnect.com.au/kerryhodge           dingadee@hotmail.com
